Basic Interaction
- Wake Pophie. Say the wake word “Pophie” to wake her, or gently pat her. A nickname can also wake her, though it may be less reliable than “Pophie.”
- Natural conversation. When you face Pophie and speak, you can chat, ask questions, or share your day. During an interaction, you do not need to repeat the wake word for every sentence.
- Continuous interaction. During an interaction, Pophie keeps listening and responding, so you do not have to start over each time.
- Touch feedback. Pophie responds differently when you pet, pat, shake, or pick her up.
- Expressions and movements. Pophie expresses her current state through her eyes, movements, sounds, and Pocket Light.
Note: Pophie does not reply to every sound she hears. If she determines you are talking to someone else, on a phone call, or that background noise is not directed at her, she may not join in.
Conversation & Companionship
- Emotional companionship. Pophie can respond in a companionship-oriented way based on your tone, expressions, and the current situation.
- Starting conversations. At appropriate moments, Pophie can greet you or start a topic on her own.
- Natural interruption. While Pophie is speaking, you can interrupt her naturally and keep the conversation going.
- Talking in 12 languages. Pophie supports 12 languages and can switch her response language at your request.
- Language preference. You can tell Pophie which language you would like her to use by default from now on.
- Quiet for a moment. Using natural language or a “shh” gesture, you can ask Pophie to stay quiet for a while so she does not interrupt the current environment.
Note: The 12 languages include English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese.
Vision & Photos
- Seeing you and your surroundings. Pophie can use vision to perceive you and the surrounding scene, and interact based on it.
- Recognizing people and expressions. Pophie can recognize faces, expressions, and posture-based emotional cues.
- Recognizing objects and scenes. Pophie can understand common objects, room scenes, and environmental changes.
- Reading visible text. Pophie can read clearly visible text on packaging, menus, books, or cards.
- Taking photos by voice. You can say commands like “take a photo for me” to have Pophie take a photo, which you can view in the App.
- Active capture. Once enabled, Pophie can automatically take photos when she sees joyful moments such as smiles, heart gestures, or displayed creations. It will not trigger in Privacy Mode.
- Viewing and managing photos. Photos taken by Pophie can be viewed in the App, saved to your phone, or deleted from the cloud.
Note: Active capture must be enabled in the App and has a cooldown period after each shot. In the current version, Pophie may say “3, 2, 1” before taking a photo, with a few seconds of delay. This is normal.
Reminders & Care
- Timed reminders. You can use natural language to have Pophie remind you at a specific time.
- App push notifications. When a reminder is due, your phone App can also receive a notification.
- Sedentary reminders. When you sit or keep using her for a long time, Pophie can remind you to move or take a break.
- Contextual care. Pophie can offer appropriate care or reminders based on your current state and situation.
Note: If a reminder is due while you are speaking, Pophie will try to wait until the current conversation ends naturally before reminding you. A reminder during sleep is usually announced in full only once.
Finding Objects
- Helping you find things. Pophie can look for common objects within her camera's visible range, such as keys, glasses, phones, or remote controls.
- Finding by natural language. Just say something like “help me find my keys” — no special commands to learn.
- Describing where things are. If recognition succeeds, Pophie will describe in natural language roughly where the object is.
- Actively scanning the environment. While searching, Pophie will turn toward different directions to observe and analyze the scene.
Note: Object finding depends on viewing angle. Positions below the camera's horizontal line and an area of roughly 140° behind her may not be visible. If she cannot find it, Pophie will let you know.
Sleep & Relaxation
- Sleep mode. Pophie can enter a sleep state and continue interacting after being woken up.
- White noise for sleep. Pophie can play white noise to help you relax before sleep or while resting. While playing, she will not turn to follow people.
- Adaptive sleep brightness. During sleep, her eyes and Pocket Light dim automatically based on ambient brightness.
Note: During sleep, the eyes and Pocket Light are not necessarily fully off; instead, their brightness adjusts to the ambient light.
Memory & Personalization
- Long-term memory. Pophie can remember your name, preferences, relationships, and important events.
- Memory that continues conversations. When you mention a specific topic, Pophie can bring back relevant past context.
- Custom nickname. You can set how Pophie addresses you by default in the App.
- Birthday celebration. After you tell Pophie your birthday, she can send you wishes on the day.
Note: Pophie only remembers the birthday you actively tell her; she does not pull it automatically from the App or account information. At present, you cannot delete an individual memory directly in the App.

Privacy & Modes
- Privacy Mode. Once enabled, Pophie stops using the camera for visual sensing, and the Pocket Light turns purple.
- Guard Mode. Once enabled, Pophie does not hold voice conversations and keeps only basic responses, and the Pocket Light turns pink.
- Closing eyes and turning around. You can ask Pophie to close her eyes or turn around for a clearer privacy boundary.
- Offline basic interaction. Without a network, Pophie still keeps some basic responses; full AI conversation and advanced features usually require a connection.
Note: A pink Pocket Light usually indicates Guard Mode, and a purple Pocket Light indicates Privacy Mode. You cannot customize the Pocket Light color in Guard Mode or Privacy Mode.
